What a busy few weeks we have enjoyed at St Augustine's! This week's newsletter has some fantastic photos of some fantastic moments.

Book Week Parade was once again a highlight of our year. The children and staff out do themselves every single year, and this year was no exception.

During Book Week, our Wakakirri team also had their performance at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Once again, a remarkable performance both on and off the stage. One of the awards we received on th...

End of Term 3

Next week is Catholic Education Week in South Australia. This is a time when we celebrate the wonderful opportunities, love and care that sending your child to a Catholic school can provide.

St Augustine's Parish School is proud to be a part of a long tradition of Catholic Education that goes back to the days of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, right here in South Australia.

Located on beautiful grounds in the heart of Salisbury, St Augustine's Parish School is a welcoming c...

Community Hub

The Hub is for everyone! The new family space (in the school cottage) is somewhere parents and their children can come
together, make friends and learn skills. The Hub is an extension of the St Augustine's diverse and welcoming community. In the
Hub we will try and develop a deeper understanding of our different cultural backgrounds, our stories and experiences.

Every Wednesday from 9.15am - 11.15am an enthusiastic group of up to 12 women are improving their English and gaining...

Congratulations Fr Shibu

Congratulations to our very own Fr Shibu, who was installed as Parish Priest by Fr Philip Marshall on Saturday 2 February.
It was a beautiful celebration followed by a lovely shared supper in the Family Centre. Fr Philip's connection with the Salisbury Parish goes back quite some years and we were thrilled when he said it was like coming home.

We wish Fr Shibu all the very best as he undertakes God's work in our parish with our community.

Happy Lunar New Year and welcome back to school for 2019.

We are really excited to be introducing Chinese as part our curriculum this year. We have engaged the services of a number of Chinese teachers in Beijing who will develop a relationship with us through the wonders of the internet. 'My Chinese Teacher' is the organisation which is facilitating this very direct connection with China for us. The children will experiene a 20 - 25 minute face to face lesson with their Chinese...

St Augustine's Graduates

What a fantastic night we had for our School Concert! After a week of inclement weather, and many prayers, Friday 23 November was a spectacular night. We were so proud of our children and their teachers. Every act of the performance was brilliantly entertaining. Our Support Act, who didn't stop working for the whole night, were amazing. Their voices, both spoken and sung were brilliant, and kept us entertained between main stage acts. Enjoy looking at the photos in our current newslett...

Vinnie's Sleep Out

Our Year 6 Social Justice Leaders and our Year 7 School Leaders and our House Captains participated in the Vinnie's Sleep Out for schools. This experience gave the children a glimpse into the realities of homelessness by 'sleeping rough' for a night. They raised well over $3000. Some of the students comments included: "The sleepout taught us how to be grateful when we receive our food." "Being homeless was really rough, and I definitely understand, because it was...

Newsletter Week 6, 30 August 2018

Our new website is live!

Anyone who's ever worked on a new website will know that launching it is an exciting time.

While most people see only the end product, the process of building a new website is incredibly valuable because it lets us reflect on how we can convey the spirit of our school community in an authentic way online.

Of course the most important driving force in the design and development of our new website, is you.
