A dedicated School Counsellor is always on hand if the need arises.
From time to time, children may need more than a nurturing school environment to flourish.
Our children come to school with a variety of back stories and needs and we are acutely aware that school may well be a place of refuge for some of our children.
We have a qualified and dedicated School Counsellor on staff who has expertise in working with the social and emotional needs of young people.
Our support can include prevention and intervention approaches that provide effective support for the learning and social development of the child at school. Support may occur one-on-one or in group-activities depending on the child. Importantly, we ensure there is good communication with parents.
Whatever the need, St Augustine's strives to be a place of welcome, of positive relationships and of people who believe in children and are passionate about creating the environment they need to thrive.
