Community Hub

Welcome to St Augustine’s Community Hub

St Augustine’s Community Hub operates in partnership with Community Hubs Australia and has been a valued part of our school community since 2018.

The Hub provides a welcoming gateway into the school for families, particularly those who are new to the Australian education system. It supports families to build confidence, develop an understanding of school processes, and strengthen connections within the school community. At the same time, it enhances the school’s capacity to engage with families and respond to their needs as they transition into formal schooling.

Everyone is welcome to join the Community Hub.

Our Approach

The Hub creates safe and engaging environments where children under five learn through play. Through play-based experiences, children build relationships and develop the skills they need for lifelong learning and wellbeing.

Our approach is family-centred, inclusive, and play-based. We recognise parents as their child’s first teacher and value the cultural and social strengths each family brings to our community.

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the Kaurna people as traditional custodians of the land on which we meet and pay our respects to the Elders past, present and future, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Indigenous Australia.
